Together with our municipal partners, we are designing a smart city that centres on the needs of users and at the same time creates added value for society. The intelligent utilisation of existing data and seamless networking create countless potential applications that enable rapid growth.
Our expertise focuses on developing future-proof models. We attach particular importance to the harmonisation and sustainability of data. In this way, we support our partners in developing sustainable and scalable business models and optimising their processes.
FOUNDATION
Smart City Solutions GmbH was founded as a subsidiary of a former company called Smart City Solutions. SCS Süd GmbH was formed from this merger on 18 November 2019.
18.11.2019BEGINNING OF THE VISION
From this point onwards, the company began to implement numerous projects in various areas such as smart metering, smart environment, smart parking, geopositioning and people counting.
CHALLENGES DURING THE PANDEMIC
Although the pandemic impaired the company's growth and expansion, this was no reason to slow down development. Smart City Solutions GmbH continued to work on supporting cities, municipalities and municipal utilities in their digitalisation efforts.
2020SUCCESSES AND PROGRESS
In spring 2020, there were project successes in the areas of room monitoring and smart metering. These successes encouraged the company to tackle further projects in the areas of smart water, smart waste and smart parking.
STRUCTURAL CHANGES
On 10 March 2021, SCS Süd GmbH changed its name to Smart City Solutions GmbH. The company continued its projects in the areas of smart parking, smart lighting, smart metering and smart environment.
March 10, 2021INNOVATION AT THE LANDESGARTENSCHAU
In summer 2021, Smart City Solutions GmbH played an important role in celebrating the 2020 State Garden Show in Überlingen. LoRaWAN technology was used for the first time to control the flow of people at an outdoor event. The company helped to set up the communication structure and install the necessary sensors and gateways.
NEW CHALLENGES
The year 2022 brought challenges. Nevertheless, Smart City Solutions GmbH continued to participate in research projects and support municipal utilities in the digitalisation process.
2022INDEPENDENT INTO THE FUTURE
2023 brought changes to the management and the separation from the parent company ATLAS IoT Tech GmbH. From this point onwards, Smart City Solutions GmbH will continue to work independently to promote sustainability, efficiency in the use of resources and the improvement of services for citizens through the digitalisation process.
2023Long-lasting relationships based on partnership are important to us, which is why we maintain a transparent and trusting working relationship from the outset.
We openly exchange ideas with our partners and want to inspire them. We communicate new discoveries openly and draw attention to them.
